Making up 40% of both Hoop Dreams and Sunday League blends, Nebilyer Valley gives them a good rich body, well balanced acidity and a creamy mouthfeel. Working with Togoba Kofi (TKL), they source their main coffee from their very own plantations in Jiwaka and Western Highlands Provinces, totaling 430 hectares.
The coffee industry in Jiwaka and Western Highlands Provinces was in its prime in the 1970s, 80s and 90s. This changed drastically due to liquidation, aging of plantation owners and other various political and social reasons.
Few plantations have survived through the odds, one of which is the popular Nebilyer Coffee. TKL have taken over Nebilyer Coffee recently, and have set their targets to maintain and improve the quality of the coffee year on year.
The other is the formerly Mukmamp plantation, now Kuk plantation. A lot of rehabilitation and reviving activities in the last 6 months have shown great promise to the future of this plantation.
TKL are also in partnership with other plantation owners and smaller farmers to rehabilitate their coffee, provide training and offer them competitive pricing.
