Didier is unequivocally one of the most important producers with whom we work in Colombia. Our relationship with him extends further back than the earliest days of Osito itself and every year of partnership, Didier proves himself more valuable of an asset than the year prior.

First, he comes from a coffee-producing family in La Plata, Huila. He lives on his farm, La Esperanza, in the vereda of Alto Cañada with his wife, Flor, and their son. Nearby are his parents and many other extended family members. As a coffee producer, he is endlessly curious and meticulous; always attempting to produce better coffee every new harvest.

Second, Didier is the founder and leader of Mártir Coffee, one of our closest partnerships in Colombia. He is responsible for recruiting, coordinating and training the nearly 50 producers that make up the association in La Plata, Paicol, Nátaga & La Argentina. He is endlessly supportive of his neighbors and seeks to raise the quality of life of all those in his network.
